Healing pathways

The Healing Pathway Lay Ministry of Southminster United Church is a part of the pastoral care of the church. As such it is our intention to provide a basis for ongoing training, support and healing opportunities for all member so the congregation, as well as the community.

The Healing Pathway Ministry is grounded in the teachings of Jesus as our faith in our Christian beliefs. Light touch is offered but not necessary for healing to occur. It can enhance our experience of Christian community.

In providing this opportunity it is our intention to help individuals recognize their ability to heal and to be healers, with intuition, love and prayerful creative energy of God to make this community a better place.

Healing Pathway practitioners are NOT diagnosticians. Healing Pathway is NOT a substitute for medical care, although it compliments other health care disciplines. We advise each person to discuss their symptoms and concerns with a medical professional.

Who Are The Healers?
The Healing Pathway Group is part of the Pastoral Care Ministry of our congregation. The people in the Healing Pathway group have successfully completed at least one level of the Healing Pathway Canada Program.
