Vacation Bible School

Every summer, typically the last week before the Labour Day long-weekend, Southminster offers a Vacation Bible School for children grades K-5.  During this week of fun and spiritual discovery, kids learn about our faith in Jesus.  We hear stories, play games, eat snacks, watch videos, and make crafts.

This year’s VBS is called  Stellar - Shine Jesus’ Light. It's a space-based adventure that helps kids discover what it means to shine Jesus’ light in the world.  Stellar VBS will run from Monday August 28th  to  Thursday August 31st,  2023 from 9am - 12pm at Southminster United Church.  Registration is open for anyone who has completed Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 5.

We welcome all children from the community to join us, no matter their church background or connection to Southminster.  The program fee is $20 for the 4 days per child.

VBS is a lot of fun - but it wouldn’t be possible without adult and teen volunteers. We need people who are willing to prepare and lead some of our space stations. So if you want to be a part of games, crafts, singing, videos and skits - please consider joining us this August.
