Bible Study

For adults looking to deepen their faith formation, Southminster offers Bible study in two forms:

Reverends Ruth Preston Schilk and Harold Schilk lead a monthly "Scratching Post" discussion hour on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Lounge. On May 23, we will become (better) acquainted with some of the Psalms in the Bible.  Is there a Psalm or parts of a Psalm that has special significance or puzzlement for you?  You and your experiences, thoughts and questions are welcome.  Please bring your Bible.  (There are some Bibles in the Lounge for borrowing, too).

Rev. Taylor also leads periodical Book studies, typically just a 4-to-6-week commitment reading a single book, meeting for an hour after worship on Sundays.

Both Rev. Ruth and Harold,  and Rev. Taylor love leading these engaging discussions with members of the congregation.
